My name is Ismail Jumaa Ali Al-Junaibi. I was born in 9/6 /1979 in the Corneish Hospital in Abu Dhabi. I graduated from Abdullakader Aljzaery High School in 1998. I completed my study in High College in Abu Dhabi Men’s College and I got a diploma in CFA During my study, I studied many subject related to my major such as English and Maths.These subjects help me a lot with my career. I have worked in Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority for seven years as inspector. I got married in 2002 and now I have two girls (Noora, Meera).After I finished my study I joined to ADFCA which manes Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority. I am studying for Higher Diploma in the same major. I would like to get my Bachelor program in the same subject. I liked my major and my study. I would like to be a successful man to help my country.

The bible was called The land of milk and honey. Which means it is very beautiful city. The capital of Lebanon is Beirut (Paris of the East).The population is 10 million. The famous singer is half Lebanese is Shakira.Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Turkey and KSA are names of country which surround Lebanon.

There were many human and economic costs of the conflict about 150,000 -200,000 of people die and the other 300,000 wounded and quarter of population left the country.The muslim give having aChristian boyfriends,all whom born during the conflict,avoid there home talking about it and the businessmen can not work at place with out safe were the point effects of social and econmeic in Beiurt.They were many problems that can be imposable because a lot of lebanees .

Lebanon gained independence in 1943.In 1975 the tensions became between Muslims and Christians, because the phalange attacked and killed bus of palestines children’s .The trust between Muslims and Christians broken down.Afeter view years the Israeli army attacked areas along Beirut to removed the (PLO). The Lebanon deal reached in 1989.

Illegal Logging in Indonesia

In Indonesia illegal logging is abig problem that has resulted in undermining the rule of law and substantial revenues to the state. It encourages forest crimes, and has serious economic and social implications to the poor and disadvantaged.Indonesia's timber that is stolen from the country's forests finds it way on to the international market either directly or through neighbouring states, especially Malaysia and china where the timber is successfully laundered and sent onto the US, Europe, Japan, Taiwan and Mainland China marketplace.

Governments need to develop new procurement policies that demonstrate timber and wood products have come from legal sources, industry needs to adopt transparent chain of custody processes which allows timber tracking from source to market. Producing countries need to formalise a system of cross border cooperation between national enforcement authorities, and to enact legislation allowing the confiscation of illegal timber and those dealing in it outside the country of origin. These are some of the recommendations that EIA/Telapak see as being essential first steps in combating illegal logging and the trade.

"Cool Cities" is initiative by Michigan Governor in June, 2003. The Cool Cities are taking decisive action to educe heat-trapping emissions, lower energy bills,save taxpayer dollars, and protect our environment. Moreover, cool cities campaign empowers city residents and local leaders to join and encourage their cities to implement smart energy solutions to save money and build a cleaner, safer future which begun in 2005.
Cool Cities not only brings real solutions to local levels, but also showcases solutions for others to model and builds leadership to ensure solutions are implemented at state levels and nation-wide. Hybrid cars, energy efficient buildings, and renewable energy are just a few of the many ways to make this real.

Cool cities communities are taking action to help solve global warming. From hybrid vehicle fleets in Charlotte, to green buildings in Austin, and homes powered with renewable energy in Seattle, local governments are moving forward with innovative energy solutions that curb global warming, save taxpayer dollars, and create healthier cities. These local leaders are moving toward a safer and more secure future

There are six principles should be follow in order to improve our communities .These Cool Cities are working to meet this goal with practical and innovative energy
solutions that reduce energy waste and pollution, and thereby cut our dependence on
oil, benefit public health, and save money.

The government has changed the fuel of cars to a hybrid gas.

Washington DC

Has changed their buses to natural gas which is less than the diesel fuel to improve air pollution and cut global warming pollution.

St Paul Minnesota

Providing electricity by using a renewable resource as its primary fuel.

Houston – Texas

The government has started to reduce emissions by using hybrid vehicles. By the year 2010 they will have no petrol cars. A hybrid vehicles are produce about 43 tones of carbon less than the average of other cars.

Seattle

They have replaced old vehicles with a “ clean and Green fleet and have sett strict rules about CO2 emission. They have already reduced green house gases by 60 percent.

Fort Collins

Fort Collins uses renewable energy wind to reduce global warming and has reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 472,000 tons.

Waverly Lowa

Waverly Lowa municipality has used wind energy to reduce the emission of CO2 in the city. This method who helps provide local economic development.

Twin falls-Idaho

They reduce energy costs and cut pollution by increasing the energy efficiency of its 11 schools. This include the lightning, ventilation and air condition systems by this the city saved $3.5 million in energy savings.

Is AbuDhabi Cool Cities?

In my opinion Abu Dhabi is not cool city and there are many things that we have to do. I think must people start to get aware about it. i don't agree with my friend adel when he said that we have to change our life style, because it's not something that we can do in one time and that need alot of wook and money step by step.

My Carbon Footprint

My bad habit is causes by use my car us the only was of transportation and I drive a big car so it burn a lot of fuel which produce a lot of carbon.
Another problems is that I eat a lot of diffreent food. I'm used to eating food every day and I have to change and electricity use which is a big problem.
The government should make trains that connect the all people can use trains instead of cars and that will help in many thing like;
By reducing the amount of carbon and at the same time it will reduce the traffic in the city because people won't use cars a lot and try to fine transportation system for both buses and trains. Another solution is in the food part. any other energy source that is cleaner or natural so it will make abig difference.
In my opinion I can reduce my Carbon Footprint and if everybody tries the same that will make a huge difference and carbon emission rates and will become less dangerous.

If everyone lived like an average Emirati we would need eleven planets.

Our global footprint grew by 150% between 1961 and 2003. It is now 25% above the planet's biological capacity to support life on earth.

The WWF has developed an initiative called One Planet Living.

It has ten guiding principles.Masdar is going to be developed using these principles.

Explain the ten guiding principles using your own words.
1- Zero Carbon: reduse amount of produce CO2 in planet.
2- Zero Waste: all types of waste can be recacling.
3- Sustainable transport: we have to decrease our travel by cars.
4- Local and Sustainable Materials: reduse the import the materials from outside.
5- Local and Sustainable Food: trying to get their food from other countries
6- Sustainable water: The freshwater supply must be clean.
7- Natural Habitats and Wildlife: Trying to protect the environment the wildlifeand maintain the environmental resources
8- Culture and Heritage: any person in countries he will not have a clear future.
9- Equity and Fair-trade: all people whose lives inside the city must be in same level.
10- Health and Happiness:any one need to be healthy and happiness by taking time to relax with his family.

Which principles do you think will be difficult for Masdar City to maintain?
